How do I get to Lusty Beg?

Answer

Lusty Beg is a small island on Lough Erne, so a short ferry ride is required to get across to the venue from Boa Island. It only takes about 3 minutes to cross, there is no need to book the ferry and it's free of charge. Staying guests are permitted to bring their car over to the island but the ferry can only fit two cars at a time. Please be aware that during busy times (ie. getting over in time for the ceremony) there may be a queue for the ferry so we recommend parking your car in the mainland car park. We would kindly ask you to aim to be on the island from 2pm.

Where should I park?

For people staying at Lusty Beg on the night of the wedding, there is a main carpark in front of reception and then once you've checked in there are further parking spaces available closer to the rooms, cabins and chalets. For people not staying on the island, there is a carpark on the mainland where you can park your car and then take the ferry over to the venue on foot.

What time does the ferry stop running at?

Answer

The ferry runs on demand all day, as and when required. It will be available after the dancing is over and throughout the evening for people not staying on the island. To get the ferry off the island, if it isn't already waiting at the dock, you can contact a member of the bar staff or night porter.
