What is the dress code?

Answer

FRIDAY WELCOME PARTY: Dressy casual. Women: Dresses of any length or a blouse with trousers are welcome. The event will be held largely indoors and on an outdoor patio, though the lawn and grounds may be less welcoming to heels should you wish to explore. Men: Jackets welcome but not required. SATURDAY CEREMONY AND RECEPTION: Semi-formal. Women: Dresses of any length are welcome. Please, for your comfort, no heels. Men: Suit or jackets; feel free to skip the tie if preferred. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Footwear: The ceremony (weather permitting) will take place in the forest, which requires a short (0.2 mile) walk with slight inclines. The reception will largely take place on the lawn. For your comfort, we recommend skipping the heels and wearing flats. Alternatively, a change of footwear (casual/sporty for the ceremony, loafers/flats/wedges for the reception) may be preferred. Layers: We recommend bringing a warmer layer or shawl should temperatures turn chillier in the evening.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

While a car is not necessary (Rideshare apps are active in the Rochester area, and transportation will be provided from downtown Rochester to the Saturday Wedding events), renting a car may provide the most efficient and convenient option for your travel.

If I drive myself, where should I park?

Answer

FRIDAY: There is ample parking available at the Plummer House for your use. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: We request that you park on the driveway as far as you are able to the right to accommodate vendors and buses that will need to navigate past your car.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We would love to have your kids attend if you would prefer to bring them along! Please be aware that there are several bodies of open water on the property (river, ponds, pool) and these will be close to where events occur. We ask that you supervise them as appropriate to ensure their safety. Additionally, please let us know when you RSVP if you plan to bring your children so that we can include them on the seating chart!

How should I communicate my dietary restrictions?

If you have dietary restrictions, please contact us directly and let us know! We want to hear from you to make sure we have food that you can enjoy at all of our events. We will always have vegetarian options available.
