Forrester has been friends with Tori since high school, and together they enjoy the odd and the macabre. Forrester is also an author and illustrator, and has his work proudly on display at the Phenow/Liston household.

Gabby could be introduced as "no way are they related" or... "are they twins?" The first younger sister of Tori and sometime roommate of this too-adorable-for-comprehension couple, Gabby is thrilled to be getting a big brother!

Jake met Charlie in elementary school, and would be Charlie's closest thing he has to a brother if he didn't actually have a few of those. They grew up together through Scouts, high school bowling, and dreams of opening up the world's best burger joint.

Ashley is Charlie's super cool best friend from high school. Any story that Charlie tells about Ashley begins with something along the lines of "Now to be fair, she works super hard and is super type A and I'm proud of her and all... but for real, normal people aren't as lucky in a lifetime as she is in a month. I'm surprised she hasn't won the lottery three times by now, listen to this..."

Jake and Charlie met at Hamline through their fraternity, and bonded over mutual frustrations running it. After college they stayed friends over a love of board games, craft beer, and the Green Bay Packers.
Emma DeMaris

Emma met Charlie while staffing up at Boy Scout camp, where they bonded over running COPE together, taking long scenic van rides, and splicing. Emma also co-lead the "Make Charlie Go Out & Have Fun" team, which successfully made Charlie get up before noon on his days off, most of the time. When she met Tori, it was decided that they had *always* been best friends that simply hadn't met until that day, and the rest is history.

Charlie's fraternal grandson and de facto Game Master, as well as a sucker routinely crushed at Super Smash Bros. Charlie values Chris' opinions about craft beer as highly as his own, and to date is the only person with such a distinction.

The youngest and tallest of the sisters, Ari's enthusiasm for this union is most often expressed via tears. The first time Tori brought Charlie home, the thirteen year old started bawling because she wasn't dressed up and "no one told (her) he was so cute." Ari will be hard pressed to be pulled from her sophomore college studies for wedding events, but her presence is more than appreciated.
