This is a great breakfast or lunch spot downtown. Also, if you'd like to see the baseball and football stadiums, both are in walking distance. You could also walk to Market Square and see where August Wilson liked to hang out. Towering over Market Square is PPG Place, a magnificent glass castle. If you're in a walking mood, you can walk all the way to the Point to see where the Allegheny and Monongahela meet to form the Ohio River.
It's called Square but everything is round. This is one of our favorite places. It has great breakfast and lunch.
The Natural History and Art Museums are connected and both are fun places to visit. The area is also surrounded by many good restaurants. Porch, Bao, and Rose Tea Cafe are some good options.
This is a beautiful building and nice place to wander through on a free morning. The stacks overlook the dinosaur exhibit in the Natural History Museum. The library also has modern electronic instruments that visitors can experiment with (while wearing headphones).
More than just pizza - the pasta is great too. They also have brunch on Sundays. Bakery Square also has a food hall and other shops to explore. There's even a small park across the street.
A wonderful Italian place, one of our favorites. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Di'Anoias is at the end of Strip District, which is a wonderful place explore. We strongly suggest wandering along Penn Avenue towards downtown.
If you'd like to explore the South Side. This brunch spot is a local favorite.
Ride a 150 year old incline up Mount Washington for great views of the city.
