Beach Formal: Spring pastels (Mauved Pinks, Soft Coral, Light Blue, Lavender, Light Teal), florals, linen suits. Beach Formal calls for elevated, elegant clothing suitable for warm weather and a beach setting, blending sophistication with comfort. For women, this means long and flowy maxi or cocktail dresses in light, breathable fabrics like linen, chiffon, or silk, often with floral prints. For men, a summer suit in a light color and fabric, such as linen, is appropriate, paired with a button-down shirt. Footwear should be practical for ceremony in the sand; wedges or chunky heels are preferable for women, while closed-toe shoes or loafers are suitable for men.
There are a variety of amazing stays, homes, condos and resorts that do not include The Lodge Resort where the ceremony and reception are taking place. We do not require our guests to stay at any particular place - only what suits your needs. We do recommend Family and wedding party to Stay Relatively Close to the Venue or Communicating with Other Guests on their accommodations. The Wedding Ceremony takes place the day after Mothers Day, so it is especially wise to book your reservation in advance.
If the name is not listed on the invitation that has been mailed or listed in the RSVP section of this website, then they are not invited to attend the ceremony or reception. Charlie & Shayne have hand selected from their large families and friend group who will attend in order to have a more intimate wedding with immediate family and friends only. There will not be room for children or plus ones.
There is a parking lot and garage at The Lodge at Gulf Shores State Park. We encourage taking an Uber or Lyft to and from the celebration if you will be drinking at the reception, so that you are not charged a fee or towed from leaving your vehicle at The Lodge overnight.
As Guests arrive you will see restaurant signs for The Perch to the Right of The Lodge Main Entrance and breezeway that leads toward the Conference Center. There will be a long pier with signs that lead to the beach where the ceremony will take place at 4:30pm.
Charlie & Shayne have their Registry Link Posted on the Registry Tab on this website.
