Sarah and I were selected to participate in a realty TV show centered around the venue, June Farms. Although the show primarily focuses on the Farm and its staff, for one episode, our wedding will be the “backdrop” story. The show is going to see to it that it will be a fantastic party but to participate, we had to agree to get married the week they had available.
If your face will be shown for more than a second, or if they use your voice, you will know because the producers will make you sign a release. So if you don’t want to be on TV, you can choose not sign that. However, they will need to film the entire wedding, so when you enter the farm, you should see “area releases” where they inform you that they will be recording. You might appear in the footage for crowd shots, or “B-Roll” or “montage” type scenes. Although it is not encouraged, you can go incognito (gorilla suit?) to protect yourself from being filmed.
Although you are welcome to wear what you feel the most comfortable and appropriate, we are simply asking that ladies do *NOT* wear high heels! The farm has a lot of gravel and grass area and we will be having entertainment in different areas of the farm so walking will be encouraged!
There is a hotel listed under the travel page of this website. Additionally, there is ample parking at the Farm, so other hotels in and around Albany are also convenient options.
