We love your kids, but we would like our wedding to be child-free. We hope this can be a much deserved night off for the parents!
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP.
First, thank you so much for traveling the distance to celebrate with us! We have provided a list of accommodations under our travel tab with links provided for each location. You don't have to choose ones we provide, but we hope it can help in your search.
For the ceremony: - The zoo parking lot to the East of the venue will be the closest parking available. We recommend parking in the orange section (sections 3, 4, 5 or 6) in the Southern part of the lot by the Nature Boardwalk. This lot is $35/hour. Another paid parking lot is further South of the venue at 1730 N Stockton Dr. - Free street parking is available nearby on N Stockton Dr. or N Lincoln Ave. - Ubers and Lyfts can be dropped off at the entrance next to the Farm in the Zoo at 1911 N Stockton Dr. For the reception: - Several parking garages are available nearby on Carroll Ave and Wayman St - Paid and free street parking is also available around the area - Ubers and Lyfts can be dropped off right at Morgan's on Fulton at 950 W Fulton Market * Please note - there might be a street fair in Fulton Market district that weekend
Unfortunately, we will not be providing transportation between the ceremony and reception. There are many options to get around the city like Ubers/Lyfts, taxis, or the train.
Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the ceremony start time (2:30pm CST) to find parking and your seat.
It will be outdoors but the pavilion where the ceremony will be is covered. We'll still plan to have the ceremony in this location rain or shine, so please be sure to bring an umbrella if needed. There is a paved sidewalk leading up to the pavilion so you will not need to walk on grass.
We'd love for everyone to dress up with us! We're requesting formal attire, think dresses and suits. Keep in mind that it's August and it will likely be hot. Our ceremony is outside but covered, and the reception venue is half outdoor, half indoor where there will be air conditioning. Feel free to wear whatever color you feel comfortable in but please avoid wearing white!
We kindly ask that phones are put away during the ceremony portion. We have hired an amazing photographer and they will be there to capture all the moments of the ceremony. Feel free to take as many photos/videos once the ceremony is finished!
