Charlie grew up in Olympia, Washington while Lucas grew up in Jundiai, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Only by fate did their two paths meet when Lucas moved to Washington to attend college and flight school. A mutual friend introduced Lucas to Charlie in the Summer of 2019 and the two clicked immediately. Their first date was at Shaken, a local restaurant in Puyallup. From that moment on, they were inseparable. When they first met, Charlie was working at a hair salon in Seattle, and Lucas was on the verge of moving back to Brazil. Lucas knew that he had found someone special and chose to pursue his Master's degree in order to stay and build his relationship with Charlie. They knew that the next few years would be difficult but they both insisted on pursuing their love story. Lucas and Charlie made the next step and moved into their first apartment together near downtown Puyallup. On a beautiful sunny day in July of 2020, Lucas took Charlie to Crystal Mountain and got down on one knee to ask her to spend the rest of her life with him. She quickly answered with enthusiasm behind tears of joy. They are overjoyed to start this new chapter and begin their lives together as one. - We are both so happy with the support and excitement from our family and friends about our wedding. We have enjoyed every moment since we have gotten engaged back in July 2020. Unfortunately, COVID has presented us with some big questions regarding our wedding plans. With all the change and uncertainty of these current times we knew our love could not wait so we decided to sneak away to Seattle and make it official. We are starting to plan our honeymoon to celebrate the beginning of our journey as newlyweds. Surely there will be a day soon to come when we can party with you – hopefully without masks and with lots of hugs!
