Living in Miami for most of our lives, our paths did not cross until we were thousands of miles away in another hemisphere. It took a study abroad trip to China for two soul mates to meet. Sitting next to each other on the bus every day of that trip we started to get to know one another. After the trip ended, we remained in contact and the rest is history...
On the third day of a trip to the Pacific Northwest, we went hiking at Dog Mountain, Oregon. Once we got to the top we decided to stop for some pictures and eat some snacks. There, we started talking about the beauty of the place and how we had to return with a dog next time (it is called Dog mountain for a reason). Charlie then said we could return for our 10 year anniversary which made me look at him confused. And that is when I noticed Charlie with the ring asking me for marriage. Of course, I said YES!
