FAQs

The Wedding Website of Charlie Hardwig and Kyle James
This isn't the most traditional wedding and we're having you drive to the middle of nowhere northern Minnesota so I'm sure you have some questions...
Question

Can I bring the kiddos?

Answer

Unless specified on your invitation, we ask that you don't bring your kids. We'll be on 100+ acres with a river nearby and think it is best that they stay home this time. We thank you for your understanding.

Question

What about a plus one?

Answer

Unless specified on your invitation, we ask that you don't bring a plus one. We have a very limited number of people that we can accommodate and are at capacity with our guest list. We apologize for any inconvenience but we promise you will still have a fantastic time!

Question

Since we're in the woods, what should I wear?

Answer

Great question! This is not a formal wedding so there is no need for suits or fancy dresses. We ask that you wear something nicer and cleaner than your farm clothes but something you're still comfortable in. We recommend you don't wear heels as everything is outside and you bring a layer of some sort as September can get chilly in the evening. Bring an alternative outfit for the evening bonfire and warm socks, we will all be switching into comfier clothing by then. A rain jacket is also not a bad idea especially if you're camping.

Question

What do I need to know if I'm camping?

Answer

First off, we're so happy you decided to camp! Secondly, you will be in charge of anything you need. *We will not have any extra pillows, blankets, sleepings bags, etc. so plan accordingly. *There is electricity but there is limited access and wedding needs will take priority over your cell phone so we do recommend a portable charging block if you feel the need. There will be no hookups for campers. *There is no running water here so we will be bringing in all the water we need. It is also not a bad idea to pick up your own jug of water for overnight purposes to make sure there is enough to go around and for your convience. There will be no hookups for campers. *The ceremony starts at 4:30 so we recommend arriving an hour early to get your tent set up or your camper parked while there is still daylight and before you've started drinking.

Question

Help I got lost trying to get there...

Answer

There will be signs posted at every turn so if you've found yourself in unfamiliar territory with no signs then you've made a wrong move. We recommend backtracking to get to Little Fork. There you should have cell service and be able to get in contact with someone, look up the location or reacquaint yourself with our Traveling page where there are directions. We ask that you try to get in contact with the person helping with traveling (info with directions) or someone else you know at the wedding as Kyle and Charlie will be busy getting ready.
