Grabbing a cab is not the easiest task here - we suggest Grab app, friend of Uber, to hire private cars to take you places at very reasonable price. Works for food delivery too, not that you'd need one in Penang!

Our personal recommendation if you'd like to stay at a heritage building with a modern flair ~ We usually stay here when we come home for Chinese New Year celebration and it's not far from where we'd have the main ceremony and reception dinner.

Airbnb is pretty reliable for those who are looking for a temporary home for a few nights and a whole space to themselves. You'd be able to find some super affordable and nice properties for rent here - use "Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia" as the main location when you search for accommodation.
