There is limited street parking. We suggest using Uber, Lyft, or Waymo (driverless), especially if you plan to drink. Plenty of bike parking is also available if you choose to ride your bike there.
Yes! Elk Glen is beautifully situated in Golden Gate Park across from Mallard Lake. The picnic area is completely covered in grass and may have soft earth in some areas. We will have a bathroom trailer for convenience, and the nearest public restroom is a 10 minute walk away. As a reminder we recommend choosing footwear for this environment or bringing a change of shoes.
San Francisco weather is unpredictable in the fall and weather conditions can vary by neighborhood. The Outer Sunset will generally see some of the best weather in September and October, but may still have foggy days. Please check the weather leading up and bring layers.
