Aaron and Charlie found each other online. They had their first date on September 1, 2020 at Mexiville (a restaurant in Chattanooga). This later turned into a date night tradition. In January of 2021, Aaron and Charlie started “going steady.” Pretty soon, they began embracing each other’s hobbies. Charlie tried rock climbing for the first time (one of Aaron’s favorite activities). Aaron even took some bachata dance lessons (a passion of Charlie’s.) In their first year of dating, they made it a priority to spend as much time outside and in new places as they could. This was something they both enjoyed. On April 9 of 2021, on one of those excursions, they both said “I love you” for the first time. In the following months, they spent countless hours laughing, playing board games, traveling, and gaining a deeper understanding of one another. It didn’t take long for them to realize they had found their forever. On May 24, 2022, Aaron asked Charlie to be his best friend for the rest of their lives.
