Lets take a walk down memory lane. They grew up in the same city and attended the same high school but that's not where this love story begins... It all started one faithful summer night, years later, in 2013. Some friends thought Dave and Busters sounded like fun. She didn't really want to go, surely she had a test she could be studying for but eventually she gave in. He arrived that night after a long day of work, travel, family, and more. They were the only ones without a date. They played games that night which continued throughout the summer before going their separate ways. All it took was a message wishing him a happy birthday on 3/18/2015 that would set their love story back in motion. He always knew if it was meant to be it would find a way. She always knew something just felt right with her head on his chest. They couldn't deny what they were feeling and the rest was history.
The ring was purchased in December of 2019 as he was planning to propose in May 2020 in the Bahamas. However the universe had other plans as the pandemic hit and the trip got canceled. Later that year, they got lucky as restrictions temporarily loosened up. They took a quick trip to Vegas for a week in late September where he planned to pop the question. He had no idea how he would do it, but he knew he would find a way. On Thursday, Oct 1, 2020 he started to get nervous. They were leaving the next day and he had walked around for a week with the ring in his pocket looking for the perfect time that he felt hadn't arrived yet. What felt like one last chance, he made dinner reservations at a nice restaurant where they would eat on a balcony overlooking the strip. As luck would have it, after waiting for an hour, they were informed that they would not be able to eat outside. He was frustrated but determined. After dinner, they went on a walk on the strip (at 10:00 pm next to the Gucci store) he thought to himself it was now or never. He got down on one knee and asked her to become his wife. After getting over the initial shock of what was happening, and as people cheered around them, she said yes!
