Like all great stories, we met at work. Charles had just moved back from Switzerland and Supriya had just started a new job at Nestle Waters. The Patriots had just won Superbowl XLIX against the Seahawks and we quickly became friends as we defended our favorite team against the haters in Fairfield County (which is in New England, not New York, but that's a different story). We bonded over the ridiculousness of Deflategate and how unfairly our team was being treated. Slowly, our conversations became more diversified. We talked about books we'd read, movies we'd seen, places we'd traveled and places we wanted to go. We talked about the things we wanted to accomplish, the insanity of US politics, things we wish we'd done differently and tough choices we'd had to make. We talked about Charles' daughters, Acacia and Tegan, our families and how we got to where we were. Eventually we both started to wonder if there was more between us than just friendship. When we started dating, we found we made an even better match. We both like to try the most unique thing on the menu, just to say we tried it. We found a passion for wine that we continue to cultivate and refine. We found we travel the same way - a bit of planning and a lot of exploring. We found that we like to push ourselves, whether it's training for a half marathon or learning a new skill. And most importantly, we found that we would support each other, however we needed to, so that we could always maintain balance. In April of 2018, we traveled to France to visit one of the most famous wine regions in the world. During a private tasting in a wine cellar of Aloxe-Corton, Charles proposed and with our tour guide crying in the background, we agreed to share our lives together. It was perfectly us and made most the most incredible trip even more memorable. We are so excited to celebrate with you, as you have each played an important role in our story. We are so thankful to have you here :)
