San Diego Botanic Garden

SDBG is a 37-acre urban oasis located in the city of Encinitas. The Garden's four miles of trails display more than 5,000 plant species and varieties, including 300 plants for which SDBG is the only garden maintaining.

Downtown Encinitas

Downtown area of Encinitas is rich in history and character, a unique combination of old and new beach town atmosphere. Enjoy shopping and great local eats! Yum!

Balboa Park

Founded over 150 years ago by the City of San Diego, Balboa Park hosted the 1915 Panama-California Exposition in celebration of the opening of the Panama Canal, and the California Pacific International Exposition in 1935. Today the park is the nation's largest urban cultural park at 1200 acres, including 17 museums, several performing arts venues, the San Diego Zoo, multiple gardens, recreation centers and more.

Non-profit wildlife sanctuary home to more than 3,500 rare and endangered animals representing more than 650 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants. It is located just north of downtown San Diego in Balboa Park.

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve remains one of the wildest stretches of land on our Southern California Coast! Bring your camera and enjoy a peaceful hike or leisurely stroll along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The views are spectacular! This is one of our favorite places in Southern California and also the place that we got engaged. Hope that you enjoy Torrey Pines just as much as we do.

The ocean is totally awesome and it's free. Soak up some cosmic rays on the beach, look at neat critters in the sand and surf, get pitted on some sick-rad-nasty waves, or just commune with mother nature. The ocean is your oyster (and there are oysters in it...woah).

La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove is protected as part of a marine reserve and is popular with snorkelers, swimmers and scuba divers. California sea lions can be found in the waters of the cove and along the beaches, cliffs and bluffs.
