Where can we stay?

Answer

There are lots of places to stay nearby. We have never stayed at any but we have listed some of the closest ones on the Travel and Information page. People are also welcome to bring a tent but please let us know beforehand.

What should we wear?

Answer

This is a relaxed informal day. The dress code is ‘Garden Party’. Where what you like, but think suits/shirts/chinos in lighter shades for gentlemen and floral dresses for ladies. Given the expected temperature please feel free to wear smart shorts. We would not recommend pointy heels due to being on grass.

There is a list of taxi companies on the Travel and Information page. We would advise prebooking.

Where should we park?

Answer

The church has a small car park but there is also a large pay and display car park a few hundred yards away at Holly Hedge Car Park, Downside Bridge Road, Cobham, KT11 3DQ. Parking for the reception will be in a field next to Cobham Lodge, KT11 3NB (0.8 miles away from the church). You are welcome to leave your car overnight but please collect it by noon on Sunday.

Will the bar be open?

Answer

Yes, there will be no need to bring money for drinks.

What food will be served?

Answer

There will be no formal sit down meal, but plenty of food. We are planning for, canapés, pizzas, burgers and brownies.

Will there be vegan/vegetarian options?

Answer

Yes, but please do let us know of any special dietary requirements in advance.

What time does the day start and end?

Answer

The church service starts at 2.30pm and will finished around 3.15pm. The reception starts at 3.30pm until midnight.

Are children invited?

Answer

We would prefer you enjoyed yourselves and relaxed rather than looking after children. However, if you have very young or nursing children or you are not able to make arrangements for child care then of course they are welcome to come but please let us know.

How do we get from the church to the reception?

Answer

Please make your own way in your own car, you can also walk 0.8 miles or please do grab a lift with someone else.

Will the reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The reception will be in a marquee in a field. Please bring something warm for the evening.

Do we need to do a covid test?

Answer

Please can we ask that guests have a negative lateral flow prior to attending- thank you.
