After a long brunch including mimosa's and chocolate martinis with my mom, I decided to swing by a friends bar to hang out for a bit. I walked up the ramp to the entrance and made my way in. About 5 minutes later this very unabashed guy sits down joins the conversation with myself and some regulars. As the day progresses on, the conversation turns to just Charlie and I. Eventually everyone starts to leave, so Charlie hands me his business card with his cell number written on the back. At this point I’m thinking to myself, there is no way I’m calling him. A man should always call first. As I am leaving I notice Charlie is still there, hanging at the end of the ramp with some friends. As I make my way down he asks if I want to go to another bar with him and his friends. I say sure and we hop in my car and go. When we get there none of his friends are there. Still after 30 minutes, not one of his friends show up. Now at this point I’m thinking well played sir. Eight o’clock drinks and conversations quickly turned into three a.m. drinks and conversations. We eventually went back to where we left his truck, he asked to see me the next day and we have been inseparable since.
