As with many new age relationships, we met in 2010 via mutual friends on Facebook... Marlene would attend Charles' club nights in SoHo and loved his music taste (she knows she's not alone). After a few DMs and a few late nights, one thing led to another, and on a cool October night in 2011, they found themselves on their first date at Bar Louie... Fast forward a few years and a few trips around the world, and we're happy to say this story has a happy ending!

For my 30th birthday, Charles had planned a trip for us to visit New York City (and let me say that this trip almost never happened due to work reasons but he was VERY adamant we go). We stayed at The Arlo Midtown and planned to have dinner with my siblings in Greenwich Village when Charles suggested we have an impromptu photoshoot at Washington Square Park... And there, just before sunset, hours before my birthday, and surrounded by my loved ones, he got down on one knee and said "there's another reason I brought you to New York.." I ugly cried for the next 5 minutes but managed to say "yes!' and the rest will be history.
