We met in Flushing Meadows Corona Park at a dragonboat practice. Little did we know, not only would we become teammates in dragonboat, but we would become teammates for life (so much cheese).
We went to see Inside Out together. Or maybe it was when we went to see Aladdin on Broadway. I dont know, Linda says neither of those are right. So it's really up to her to decide when it was.
We were walking towards the Plaza de Espana in Seville and Linda was hungry. We arrived at the location where there were a few people, and Chuck got extremely nervous and decided to have everyone walk around the whole plaza and back to the bridge where he planned it. It was empty the second time around, and as they lined up for the photo and video (done by Kathy and Fred), Chuck went down on one knee and asked the question. As his knee was digging into that concrete bridge, she responded with, “Seriously?”. In the end she said yes and Linda was finally able to be fed.
We contemplated simplicity over the last year and a half, since it hadn't been clear if and when we would be able to have an actual wedding day. Ultimately we wanted to be able to have as much of our family and friends as possible all in one space celebrating with us, so we were patient. We are beyond excited, not just to celebrate the love between the two of us, but also to have as many of you that have made an impact on our lives together join us in such a celebration. We love each and everyone of you and can’t wait to see everyone there!
