We’re getting married!

Our story began at Archbishop Mitty High School, where fate, or perhaps our last names, placed us in the same homeroom. Despite sitting just two desks apart, we somehow didn’t know each other, until a basketball tournament in Reno. That’s when Krissy, armed with what would later become a legendary “pick-up line,” approached Charles and said, “You go to Mitty, right?” (Even though she knew he sat just two desks ahead of her.) From that moment, we quickly became friends; our shared high school and Asian league basketball experience gave us plenty to talk about. Sophomore year brought us even closer together when we ended up sitting next to each other in Drama 101. While Charles spent much of the class browsing StockX, we became closer —and some theatrical skills were definitely learned along the way. By junior year, friendship blossomed into love, and our adventures together truly began. Krissy used to study diligently in the silent section of the library, until Charles arrived and convinced her to move to the computer section, where productivity took a backseat to laughter and conversation. Senior year brought new challenges as we both committed to play college basketball in Southern California. Though our schools were only two hours apart, the idea of long-distance felt daunting. Yet, through dedication and commitment, we made it work, connecting almost every day and supporting each other through our new adventures. After surviving (we wish we could say thriving) college, we returned to the Bay Area. Charles moved in with two of his now closest friends, while Krissy moved back home. In 2024, we took the next big step and moved in together in our San Francisco apartment. Since then, we’ve cherished every single day together. Over the past nine years, we’ve laughed, cried, and experienced many things life has to offer—ups and downs, change and loss, and countless moments of joy. Through it all, we’ve seen God’s hand guiding us and felt the incredible love and support of our family and friends. We are beyond excited to start this new chapter as husband and wife and honored to share our big day with you! Love, Charles & Krissy
