The story starts when Reid, Kendall's brother and coworker of Charles, brought Kendall to a house party. That's where she made an impression on Charles then a bachelor and realizing the boredom of Covid without a partner. Kendall dropped some not so subtle hints like getting Reid to set up a walk of our dogs and shortly after sending a friend request on Facebook. Charles built up enough courage to send a simple message of "Do you wanna hang out sometime?". This began a spiral of messages that lead to a first date at one of Charles' favorite restaurants Earle Street Kitchen and Bar in Anderson .
