We met during veterinary school abroad, both us choosing to live in Ireland for 4 years while following our dreams of becoming veterinarians. Charles was one of the orientation leaders for Katrina's class, and after their first meeting she knew they would be more than friends one day. After seeing each other sporadically in the hallways, they were each invited out by mutual friends one rainy night. Their first time out together wasn't immediate fireworks- Charles hardly said two words the entire time! After that first meeting, he eventually opened up and through countless hours chatting, they realized how much they had in common. Through various hours of driving around Ireland, sampling various vegetarian restaurants through Dublin, Charles' constant support at volleyball games, and multiple adventures abroad they realized they were slowly falling in love.

Charles planned a suprise beach trip to make sure the setting was just right for the proposal. Katrina didn't know what to expect, but had a feeling when Charles wouldn't tell her any details! They made it to the beach in Corpus Christie right at sunset, and while Katrina was enjoying the sunset, Charles pulled out a photo book he made. After going through all of their memories together, he knelt in the sand and asked Katrina to be his forever best friend. After asking if he was sure she said "Of course!!' We are both so excited to be sharing this celebration with you as we start the next adventure of our lives together!
