I first texted CJ on Instagram on August 6th, 2018, after my bridesmaid Kadence convinced me to reach out to him. We started talking and, after a year, began dating on May 30th, 2019. At the time, I was only 13, and my dad didn't want me dating anyone until I was older. We met in person for the first time on July 23rd, 2019, and my dad caught us walking around town together, which got me into big trouble. However, my dad met CJ in 2020 for our first homecoming together and ended up loving him. They became best friends, and we continued dating. We always talked about marriage and always said we would get married after I finished high school and completed my first semester in college. On my winter break after my first semester, CJ proposed to me on December 12th, 2023. Now, we’re finally getting married on June 21st, 2025!
