Sister of the bride- Laikah has always been more than just a sister to me —she’s my built-in best friend, my constant supporter, and my voice of reason when I need it most. I admire her strength, kindness, and the way she lights up every room she walks into. No matter where life takes us or how far apart we may be, I know I can always come to you. You’re one of the biggest blessings in my life, and I’m so grateful for every laugh, every memory, and every moment we’ve shared. Thank you for being you—you’re truly one of a kind. You mean the world to me, and I hope you always know how deeply loved and appreciated you are.
Honorary Maid of Honor
Friend of the bride- Jill is one of the closest friends I have and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I met Jill during our freshman year of college where we had a couple of classes together and sat next to each other. But it was really from the moment we both joined dance club that I knew we found our rhythm (ba dum tss). By the end of that year, we along with our other friends decided to choreograph hip-hop pieces together, thinking this was just going to be all talk and no action - that nothing would come from it except good conversation. But when we actually put our words into action, when I knew we would be great friends. And that we were! We even created a YouTube channel together!! I’ve introduced her to so many things — from Hamilton to Disney Channel original movies to CRUISES!! Who would she be without me?!

Friend of the bride- From the moment you meet Jillian, she is the kindest, most genuine soul you will meet. She will tell you what you need to hear to make important decisions with all the love. Her laugh and smile are easily two of the most infectious things about her. My favorite thing about her is her ability to make you feel comfortable and trust her right away. You instantly feel like you’re talking to family. Love you Jillian! -Hema

Friend of the bride- Jill and I met in college in 2014. I was a freshman and Jill, Tai&Medji were sophomores. I had joined the college's Dance Club my first semester and we were nearing the Fall Dance Showcase. Tech Week, (or Hell Week as some would call it) was a week long rehearsal period to get the show, lights, timing, and performances to perfection. I didn't know quite know many people here, outside of the 2 other girls I was dancing on stage with, but I had just finished running through my piece with my team onstage. I head to the back of the dark auditorium to grab some water - when all of a sudden, 3 unknown girls begin to approach me. Quite startled me actually, - LOL, since I was backed up into the corner of the auditorium. All of a sudden, one of them says something to the nature of "You danced really great up there!", the 2 other girls nodding in agreement. PHEW - pure relief flooded me that these people were just extremely kind strangers. That girl ended up being Jillian! Along with Taisha and Medji. Long story short, we exchanged numbers and they recruited me into their lil dancing trio like big sisters for the rest of our college years. I'll always be thankful to her and them for taking a chance on me as a lil freshman girl, inviting me into their friendship. Since then it's been history and I've had the pleasure of knowing Jill and the girls for over 10 years (:

Cousin of the bride-
Honorary Maid of Honor
Friend of the bride- The first time I met Jill was in our freshman English class, but our friendship didn’t start in the usual way. We didn’t sit near each other, talk in class, or hang out outside of it. In fact, she loves to tell people that she didn’t even like me at first. So, when I walked into our first hip-hop class, I just know she rolled her eyes. But, unaware of this, I stood next to her during practice-a decision that turned out to be one of the best I made in college. I couldn’t believe how much we had in common, and I truly believe our friendship was meant to be. We spent countless hours practicing routines, laughing through mistakes, and venting our frustrations. The dance studio became our second home. One unforgettable moment was when she almost handed me a fruit I’m allergic to—she’d picked it up as a favor, and the look of horror on her face when I reminded her of my allergy was priceless. We still laugh about it today. That moment showed me how much she truly cared. Jill is a constant source of energy and joy, always bringing laughter and compassion to those around her. Our friendship is the perfect mix of care and chaos.
Best Man - Oldest Brother of the Groom
Hey Jillian & Chucky!! My favorite memory of the two of you is the first time I met you! I came up for my other brother's wedding, and these two always make it seem like I'm the "BOOGYMAN". It was funny seeing how you were a little worried about seeing me, but I was ecstatic about meeting you, Jill. How happy you make my brother is my favorite thing about you. My brothers are like my first kids, and I see a change in him and how happy he is. The cruises, the concerts, and everything he's been doing since being with you have just been great! So there it is, my favorite thing about you is how happy you make my brother, as well as our first meeting at the wedding, seeing how FUN you are. You really fit in with the family. Here's to more years with us.
Best Man - Older Brother of the Groom
My strongest memory of Charles came on one of the worst days of all our lives. The day our father past I seen my little brother do what his older brother was responsible for doing, he steeled himself and took charge. In that day and the days to come he put everyone else feelings before his own until his time to feel came. My stubborn, hot headed, book smart nerdy, wet behind the ears street knowledgeable, my way or the highway brother, still has me envious of all he has and will accomplish.
Honorary Best Man
Charles & Jillian!! You two have been such amazing friends to me! I can't show enough how much I appreciate you two for always showing love and checking on me. Whether it's something major or minor I can always count on you. You guys always find time to include me into your lives and make me feel welcomed. Thank you for making me a priority in your lives, I'm extremely happy for what the future holds for you two as husband and wife but also for the many more memories that we will share together!

My uncle Chucky, at least that’s what I know him as. I’m glad to see that you’re taking another step forward with a person you love. Our best memories is always of us playing video games. I truly hope Jillian, your new partner, lets us continue to get more of these days in later years. Congrats uncle!

Keyshawn and Charles met through the Bride introducing them to each other during her birthday celebration back in 2020. From that initial encounter onward, a strong friendship emerged. Keyshawn’s favorite memory with Charles is when they both had a meaningful conversation on their plans to propose to their significant others during their trip in Haiti. Keyshawn views the groom as a smart, passionate and multitalented person. He appreciates that he can have layered conversations with Charles ranging from talks about relationships, family and career to video games, fitness goals and travel plans. Keyshawn heavily views his friendship with Charles as one-of-kind and admires the love and care he gives to all of his friends and family.

Charles is a comrade who has brought immeasurable joy and memories into my life. I met Charles through a mutual friend group and couldn’t believe I had lived this long without someone like him beside me. We share so many interests and quirks, but it’s his loyalty and compassion that I admire most. The fact that he would consider me a potential groomsman—let alone a friend to keep around—leaves me honored to the highest degree. I look forward to cherishing our brotherhood as if we share blood, and I’m counting down earnestly until he marries the love of his life, Jillian.
