It all started in the Santa Lucia dorm at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where Charlene and Trevor first met as freshmen. They had overlapping friend groups, but it wasn’t until Gabe volunteered Trevor to help Charlene in calculus that they began to hang out, getting burrito bowls at the subpar campus dining and staying up late with friends in the study room. It wasn’t until sophomore year—after taking a bowling class together—that they went on their first date to get sushi and watch Captain Phillips at the SLO Drive-in. Throughout college, they made many more memories—trips to their favorite food places like Taqueria Santa Cruz and Petra, Trevor introducing Charlene to his family’s Memorial Day tradition of camping in Yosemite, parties at the Nipomo House, 2 for 1’s at the Creeky Tiki and Motav, and spending time with their friend group that is still close today. When Charlene had internships in Los Angeles and Disney World, Trevor visited whenever he could. After graduation, life took them to different places—Trevor spent time working in Las Cruces and Denver, where Charlene visited and together they explored national parks, had great Mexican food in Las Cruces, and they both got close to hypothermia during a surprise snowstorm while hiking in the Rocky Mountains. During this time Charlene began working at Disneyland, fulfilling a lifelong dream (and ensuring unlimited park visits for them both). But in 2018, Trevor got an exciting job offer in Seal Beach! After years of long-distance, they could finally call the same city home. Their favorite things to do are trips to San Diego to see family, friends, and baseball, bar trivia, stopping by Disneyland for a quick visit, braving the 15 for a long weekend in Vegas, cooking with some sort of spicy pepper, watching Jeopardy every day, and enjoying the Southern California sunshine. They also share a love for travel, and took an amazing trip to Peru in 2022 with close friends. Other fun trips include New Orleans for Mardi Gras, cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico, Disney World, and Yosemite! They are also on a quest to visit all 30 Major League Baseball Stadiums with 8 checked off the list, and Yankee Stadium up next in May 2025! Then, after 11 years of dating, Trevor proposed on the walk back from the Harbor Christmas light parade in Oceanside. Surrounded by Charlene’s parents, her brother Greg, and their family dogs, Coco and Stitch, he asked Charlene to marry him. She said YES, of course! Now, they’re starting their next adventure—planning a wedding and searching for their first home together. They can’t wait to celebrate with all of their favorite people and make even more amazing memories. See you at the wedding!

One of the most famous attractions in San Diego, the zoo! Home to over 3,700 animals including some of the only pandas in the United States!
One of the most scenic parts of San Diego! There is a great quick hike that ends right on the sand.
The Taco Stand has turned into a bit of a chain so there are locations throughout San Diego / Orange County. However - it has kept its charm and amazing taste, and they have an amazing salsa bar! Our favorites are the California Burrito & Fries!
San Diego is home to amazing breweries! If you find yourself up north, we love going to the Stone tasting room in Oceanside on Fremont. Stone also has a great location in Liberty Station.
Conveniently across from our wedding venue, there is a park open to the public outside of baseball season in Gallagher's Square. We have spent many weekends at Petco Park - you can see Charlene's season tickets in the upper deck above the UCSD sign!
