Although we love your little ones we really do, However this is an adult only event 18 yrs and older. We hope you can take this opportunity to enjoy a little weekend getaway with your significant other. Only children at the wedding will be in the bridal party.

What Happens if I don't RSVP in time ?

Answer

If we do not get an RSVP back by the date in which we have provided, it Will be marked as a "NO". "We will miss you celebrating with us, however we have to provide total guest counts to the venue in the timely manner they have given to us, and cannot accept late RSVP's due to this. We hope you understand.

Do I need a Visa?

Answer

No! You can travel to Colombia without a Visa but you do need a passport. Make sure it doesn't expire until 2024. To enter Colombia, your passport must valid for a minimum of 6 months after your travel date.

From the Colombian Embassy: Starting May 1st, you do NOT need a Covid vaccine to enter Colombia

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony/reception space. We will also be coordinating shuttles to and from the airport and the hotel ( More information on that from the hotel ), and all other wedding events on Friday and Saturday.

Will my cellphone work?

Answer

There is roaming in Cali, and the hotel and wedding venue will have WIFI. Please check with your carrier on what international roaming fees are for you. Highly recommend downloading Whatsapp.

When should I arrive to Cali?

Friday at the latest! We will have additional events Friday night. Please let us know if you plan on arriving Thursday or earlier to coordinate the hotel block.

What is the weather and elevation like in Cali?

Answer

Cail is warm and breezy all year round! The temperature range in February will be 66 - 85 degrees fahrenheit. The wedding ceremony will be outdoors, while dinner and dancing will be outdoors but covered. Elevation starts at 3,300 feet. There are a few mountains nearby that you could hike that will get to around 5,000 feet in elevation!

Do I need cash?

Answer

You will not need much cash if you are only traveling for the wedding events. However, it is customary to leave a tip in your hotel room (10 thousand pesos, which is about $3 USD right, would be fine for the weekend stay. If you are taking taxis or buying from street vendors you will need more cash. We'd recommend exchanging money from your bank prior to the trip as it's more convenient and the safest option. You can use credit cards at the hotel and most restaurants. Make sure your card has no foreign transaction fees, and let the credit card company know you're going to Colombia before you arrive and realize you don't have cell service. :)

Is Cali safe?

Answer

Cali is pretty safe, but you do need to be alert! Most crime is petty crime, like pickpocketing. Phones are an easy target to be snatched if you're not paying attention. Treat it like you would any big city, and know if you're coming from the US, you probably are going to stick out! If you are only coming in for the wedding, you will be escorted the whole time and it will be pretty difficult to get into any trouble! If you do want to explore the city on your own, see our 'Things to Do' page on recommendations. We also recommend calling for a taxi ahead of time for traveling around the city.

What do things cost in Cali?

Now is a good time to go to Colombia! The exchange rate is somewhat volatile, but US dollars are pretty strong right now. Here are some estimates - Intercontental Cali - $85 -$120 per night USD Taxi ride from airport to hotel (about an thirty minute ride, and includes airport up-charge) - $25-30 USD max Normal 10 minute taxi ride - $2-3 USD Cup of coffee - $1 USD Typical Lunch - $6 - 15 USD One of Colombia's best kept secret is their panaderia's! These breakfast spots have incredible bread, and many will have eggs as well. Typically we'll get 4-5 pandebonos (look them up they're amazing!), orange juice, and coffee for about $5-7 USD.

Do people speak English in Cali?

Most people in Cali do not speak English. However, often at the airport and at the hotels you will pretty easily be able to find employees who do. If you are flying in Friday - Sunday, you won't really have a problem as transportation will be provided for the whole weekend! If you are planning to travel around Cali or Colombia in general, you may want to pick up a few phrases!
