Mark and Charlene met through a series of events. An icecream Shoppe, a football game, fast friendships, and a stolen kiss. They went to the same church, but never met each other. Had countless mutual friends, but never met each other. Went to a football game and smiled at each other for the first time. Countless group outings, and then a streamline of dates. Char told Mark she was done and declared they were now in a full fledged relationship.

It was a typical day in their household, but Char had a bad day. It was the day before April fools, and Char was having none of it. Mark randomly came to Char and asked if she could show him how to tie a fishing knot, which she had taught him about years prior. Char patiently twisted the rope and showed Mark the Palomar Knot, her favorite of knots. Mark was very pleased she remembered and walked into the kitchen rope in hand. He starts making a rukus and says there is s**t on their dogs neck. Astrid the dog runs to her mom for comfort and Charlene sees something surprising attached to Astrid's collar. An engagement ring. Mark sits on the couch, because he just did leg day at the gym and says "so are you going to say yes" and Charlene replies teary eyed with "sure."
