Engagement

26 September 2020

Fall 2020 approached and as it has been a crazy year, all we talked about was how Fall was our favorite and we didnt want COVID to ruin it. In good ole Charleigh fashion, I planned Pumpkin Patches, Apple Picking, Bonfires and outdoor events. I had not stopped talking about wanting to take pictures at the Pumpkin Patch and go Apple picking! After we finally arranged to go, the weather was not in our favor but we decided to still go. As we were getting ready, Will had to have the perfect outfit. Normally he would throw on jeans, boots a shirt and go. However, this particular day he was so worried about what he was wearing and of course I didnt think anything of it since we were supposed to take pictures. Fast Forward a few hours, we stop at my aunts house to pick up my cousin and Will was quiet the entire way there but claimed he had a headache.. we finally arrive at Baughers Farm. As I am trying to keep up with Bailey and Kendra I feel a tug on my arm so natural instincts, I turn around and Will grabs both my hands, tells me he loves me and goes down on one knee, pulling the ring out of his boot asking me to marry him. It was such a pure moment with Mommom recording one of the best days of my life.

How We Met

17 March 2019

It all started St. Patrick's day 2019. I was getting ready to leave mom-moms to go see my uncles band perform with my family. As were getting ready, Donnie (my younger brother) walks in with his friend Ben and a guy named “Texas”. We all started talking and before we know it, it was time to leave and they went on their way. I remember once they left, I told mom-mom that was the guy from Ben’s Military coming home party and blurted out “he's cute”. It wasn’t long after that Donnie texted me saying Texas thinks you’re cute and my response was “How come I was just telling mom-mom the same thing”. Not long after that, we began texting and went on our first date and promised it would be over a beer and it had to be quick since it was a work day. Four hours later, still sipping on the first drink we couldn’t believe how the conversation flowed so easily. From that day on the rest is history.
