We met on a dating website. We started talking by text and email but did not meet face to face for about a month. Our first date was at at Johnny Carinos. It was supposed to be for lunch but it turned into Mac and Jacks and good conversation instead. We then proceed over to Costco and walked around for a while. I can not say there were any sparks between us or love at first sight but the conversation was nice. We knew that we wanted to see each other again by the end of the date.
We had just finished doing some work at the store. We were on our way home and stopped to get delicious hamburgers at my favorite burger spot. Tom decided that we should stop at West Beach and eat our lunch there. As I was going to get out of the truck he hopped out and was standing in his door. He seemed to be confused and anxious. He then asked me to come over to his side of the truck. He had the ring in his hand when I arrived and he asked me to marry him standing next to the truck. We both cried as he put the ring on my finger. The ring was so beautiful. It is more than anything I could have ever asked for. We then went to our favorite restaurant for dinner to celebrate. I would not change a thing about that day. He made it very special for us.
Due to Covid-19 we had to cancel our original wedding in March of 2020 that was scheduled for May 2020. This date in September is the third reschedule of our original wedding. We had a small wedding ceremony September 2020 with just our wedding party and my parents. It was the perfect day for what it was with everything happening in the world. We were finally married and that really was our main goal. Now, We still want to have our original wedding with all of our family and friends as we had originally intended it.
