Love After Last Call

October 31, 2022

We first crossed paths in a way that feels very “us” through social media. At the time, he was reaching out, and I wasn’t exactly making it easy for him. But fate stepped in when we unexpectedly bumped into each other one night as I was leaving a bar. Crazy right? Out of all places we met at a bar. As I got to my car, he approached me and asked why I had been ignoring him. In that moment, I looked at him and I was completely caught off guard by how beautiful his eyes were. Without even thinking, I blurted out, “Your eyes are so pretty, I’m sorry. I promise I’ll message you back.” And that was the moment everything shifted. Just a few days later, I wasn’t feeling well, and he showed up with a goodie powder and a Gatorade simple, thoughtful, and exactly what I needed. From there, we started talking more, spending more time together, and before we knew it, we were inseparable. What started as a chance encounter turned into something real, something steady, and something we couldn’t imagine living without. From that day on, we’ve hardly spent time apart and now, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter together as we get ready to say “I do.”

Wrapped in Love at Christmas

December 25, 2024

Our proposal happened during one of our favorite traditions our annual Christmas trip with my family. That year, we headed to Tennessee and stayed in a cozy cabin tucked away in the mountains. From the start, something felt different. He kept hinting in the months leading up to Christmas that this one was going to be extra special. And knowing him like I do, I had a feeling I knew exactly what he meant, he’s not the best at keeping secrets. Even though I suspected what was coming, I had no idea when or how it would happen. Then one evening, we were outside by the fire pit, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the mountains. My family was there, all gathered talking and watching, he tapped me on the shoulder. In that moment, before he even said a word, I just knew. And in true “me” fashion, without a filter, the first thing out of my mouth was, “I knew you were going to propose, yes, yes!” That moment was everything I could have ever wanted and more. Being surrounded by family, in such a beautiful place, made it incredibly meaningful. It was full of love, laughter, and pure joy and without a doubt, one of the best moments of our lives.
