The countdown until our forever is on!

David & I happened to be at the same location at the same time with the same intentions, because we both care about our community. There was a meeting that needed support and I wanted to go check it out but never had time. This particular week I was heading to a work conference and was leaving late the next day so I decided to give the location some support. I arrived, and the only people present were David and Quaasir. I had seen them both, but did not know them personally. With no one else showing up, we collectively learned that the meeting no longer existed so we stood there and engaged in pleasant chatter. We departed and proceeded with life. Soon after COVID hit and everyone in the world was probably playing on their phones more. David sent a FB friend request and our conversations began (texting progressed to talking). From the very beginning our conversations were saturated warmth, laughter & honesty. We liked that about each other. We both work at places that usually "deal with the people we serve" however, due to COVID, seeing people was pretty much prohibited. As the months of our conversation progressed, David informed me that he was going back into the office. I gasped in slight shock, and asked him "are you seeing people", and in a flirtatious tone, he replied I WANT TO BE! Instantly we both felt awkward, we started laughing. I was talking about work, he was talking about dating........ we've been together every since (well except for that one time....that ANY one who knows us, knows about:-). Anyway, David swears I was coming on to him and he accepted the opportunity. We have endured rough patches, we continue to grow and learn, we are excited about our future together & God's will for our lives as the two become 1 = 3.
