Cliff Walk

Cliff Walk, Newport, RI 02840

The Cliff Walk runs along the eastern shore of Newport, RI. It is a breathtaking world famous public access walk that combines the natural beauty of Newport shorelines with the architectural history of Newport's gilded age. The walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition.

Beautiful architecture and remarkable tours bring you a new and unique perspective on the lives of the people who lived and worked in the grand mansions of the Gilded Age in Newport. Explore The Breakers, Marble House, The Elms and Rosecliff. Based on personal diaries, letters, records and oral histories, the audio tours offer the personal stories of the men and women who lived in each house and the household staff who cared for them.
