I was on my first travel nurse assignment in Riverside, California. My apartment was 5 minutes from the hospital so (naturally) I would leave the apartment with 5 minutes to spare. I had been there for almost two weeks and knew almost everyone in the unit at that point, but when I ran into huddle late my eyes were immediately drawn to Charisma. We were all wearing masks at the time but I feel like I saw her fully regardless and felt like I was recognizing an old friend (with gorgeous eyes). She is as beautiful as she is kind, and she is the kindest person I know. Every part of me needed to get to know her, and coincidentally one of my travel friends that I had made actually had worked with her back in Las Vegas. I fell in love with everything about her, After Riverside, we began travel nursing together, thus beginning our story. Each place we travelled and worked to brought new experiences and memories that we share together. Our families are now one, my friends are her friends and her friends are mine. She surprises me every day with how funny she is and how willing she is to try new experiences (music, hobbies, and most importantly food). Her presence is a blessing to everyone she comes across, and I'm blessed to grow with her every day. She is my best friend and the best person that I know. Years later and we have added our dog Stitch and cat Kora to our small family. The rest is still to come. -Dani
