He was born in Fallon, NV in 1989 to Loyd Hinkey and Monique Hinkey.

She was born in Pocatello, ID in 1991 to Charlie and Rochelle Minor.

They met in 2012 at the University of Montana Western where he was playing football and she was playing volleyball. They met in the weight room and later went on their first date out at the race track riding his 4-wheeler.
