One day, I brought my yearbook to work so everyone could see it, and of course he decided that was his moment. He grabbed it, trying to be smooth and make his move, talking a whole lot of nonsense like he thought he was going to impress me. The only problem? I’m not the type to back down, so I gave it right back to him. Later, when I went on break, he followed behind trying to be sneaky and finally worked up the nerve to ask for my number. And just like that, a little workplace flirting turned into a love story we never could have imagined. Since then, we’ve built a beautiful life together and are blessed with two amazing kids, Clifford Jr. and Caliyah, who mean the world to us. After nearly 20 years of love, laughter, growth, and doing life side by side, he finally got the nerve to propose — and the rest is history.
