Cheryl and Larry met online on the Christian dating app, Upward. Both were ready to give up on the whole online dating thing when Larry "liked" Cheryl's profile and sent her a message. Larry said it was love at first sight. Cheryl wasn't sure at first about getting involved with someone who lived so far away, but something told her to go for it....The rest is history.

Larry and Cheryl both knew their goal was to find their soulmate. It didn't take long to know they had found that in each other. Marriage was discussed and both agreed that was what they wanted. Even though they were not officially engaged, Larry moved to Delta from Montana the last week of December to be closer to Cheryl. Larry proposed on Valentine's Day in Ouray and the engagement became official.
