The Perfect Fit

She is a Disney girl from a Disney family, he is a nerd with too many hobbies - who knew dinner & a movie would lead to the greatest adventure of their lives?

Alexandra & Phillip’s story started with a first date to a movie none of their friends wanted to see - “A Star is Born”. How fitting that a story about a broken man & a hopeful girl would be the perfect mirror of their relationship. That night, they had a long discussion about past relationships & their values. They quickly discovered the stars were aligned in more areas than any blessed couple could hope for. By the end of the night, Phillip had introduced his famous “I fix things” line, fixing Alexandra’s forever-broken blinds with a butter knife. Alexandra & Phillip both come from backgrounds where family & faith is everything. When Phillip had started volunteering his time at a new church started by a childhood friend & mentor, he asked Alexandra to join him; she took a chance, & now they are blessed to have an incredible group of friends within the church, united by their devotion to family & love of Jesus. Alexandra HATES surprises; too bad for her, Phillip is a huge fan of them - he relished every time he was able to surprise his every-planning “type-A” partner. His love of surprises was key to pulling of an epically romantic proposal. Under the guise of a trip to see family, they flew to Chicago in May 2021. They visited many of Phillip’s favorite Chicago spots, including the church where his parents were married. On the perfect May evening with the iconic DuSable Bridge in the background, Phillip got down on one knee & asked Alexandra to be his partner for life. True to form, she responded, “Are you SERIOUS?” & even truer to form, Phillip reminded Alexandra that’s what the ring is for! She said yes, & they began excitedly planning the rest of their lives together. Alexandra & Phillip feel beyond blessed that God brought them together to love, support, & uplift each other for life. They are ecstatic to be able to have you join them to celebrate their marriage!
