A new student enrolls at Bordentown high school and quickly befriends Lauren in gym class. After talking for a while, she decided to set her ex-boyfriend and new friend up on a date, thinking they would get along well. She put Lauren and Jake in contact with each other via Kik messenger and left the process up to them. Fast forward a week or two, they had finally gotten together for a movie date. As a tall and stoic man of few words and a shy and quiet girl started to get to know each other, they began to get closer every day despite going to different schools and living in different towns. Thanks to the help of supportive parents, they were able to see each other often enough to let young love blossom, and in March of 2015, they decided to make it official. After surviving the rest of high school together, working multiple jobs, and attending college and trade school, they moved into their first apartment in August of 2021. Together, they were able to build a solid foundation to a strong relationship over the past eight years, working hard to maintain communication and understanding between each other, as well as love. At Thanksgiving dinner of 2023, Jake (finally!) proposed to Lauren, surrounded by family, and the rest is history!
