The first time we met was on the southeast corner of 40th and Madison, but the first time we laid eyes on each other was when we matched on JSwipe several days prior. Ben messaged Rebecca "Hey" and she said "Hey" back. We continued to chat and he asked her on their first date at his favorite bar, Albion. On that Thursday night, we met after work to walk to the bar together. Ben made a few jokes about how we are both CPAs, we ordered a couple of drinks and sat in the bar's outdoor patio. Ben asked Rebecca on their second date before the first date even ended.

Ben suggested we take a walk through Riverside Park before going to dinner. We casually strolled through the park as the sun set and he stopped abruptly. We looked at each other, he professed his love and Rebecca exclaimed, "Wait, you have to get down on one knee!" He proceeded, asked "Will you marry me?" and she said "YES!" Ben snuck a can of red wine and two (recyclable) cups in his blazer pocket and we toasted to our future together on a park bench!
