Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica is the closest international airport to the hotel. If you are flying into San Jose, check out local flights from San Jose to Tamarindo or Liberia.
It can take 45-75 minutes for transportation to and from the hotel (from the Liberia airport) and 3-5 hours if you fly into San Jose.
Come whenever you want! We expect most people will arrive by Wednesday Feb 16.
You can email: concierge@amoreparaiso.com to assist in transportation to and from the hotel. In Potrero it is best to have a car, however, the hotel can assist with booking taxis (Costa Rica does not have ride share services available). If you are driving, download WAZE, it works better in Costa Rica than google or apple maps.
We would love for everyone to stay at Bahia Del Sol with us! It is a beautiful 35-room boutique hotel right on the beach! This is where our wedding and activities will take place. We have the entire hotel blocked Wednesday-Sunday.
Please email: reservations@bahiadelsolhotel.com to reserve your room! Let them know you are booking for the Chapman Dolinar Wedding. Rooms need to be booked before November 1st!
Rooms will be available first come first serve, so if you are budget conscious I suggest trying to book your room ASAP!
Yes, please contact us to inform us if you're planning on bringing a plus one.
Your presence is present enough! If you wish to, we do have a registry set up through the Zola website.
Please RSVP ASAP if you haven't already :)
Costa Rica is a tropical and warm destination! It will likely be in the 60's or 70's in the evening, but low 90's during the day. On the day of the event, please feel free to wear semi-formal beach wedding attire. This can be a simple flowy maxi dress or tea dress or nice khaki pants/shorts and button down shirt. Please no jeans.
February is right in the middle of dry season. You can plan on little to no rain and hot and dry weather. It will likely be in the low 90's during the day with a cool breeze! There is little humidity and it does cool down in the evenings. The sunsets around 6pm in the evening.
Colones, but most places charge in dollars as well. You can get both Colones or US Dollars from the BAC ATM in the middle of town. Try to pay in dollars if the bill is in dollars and Colones if the bill is in Colones. Some restaurants have their own exchange policies, but better to pay in the currency they are charging to avoid this.
Every restaurant will charge you 10% service tax (it is a tax usually divided by all the serving staff) and 13% sales tax. If you feel that the service was fantastic, any tip is greatly appreciated as waiters salaries are ridiculously low in Costa Rica, however, it isn't mandatory.
