We sometimes say that fate has brought us together, but we know 100% that God crossed our paths in the perfect moments. I like to say that I "bumbled" upon him, and he would say the same! :) We met back in the middle of the pandemic in 2020, and we had our first date in Fort Worth, TX over brunch, an activity that we both take very seriously, haha!! After talking for hours and hours, I realized that he didn't even live in Texas...in fact, he was from Georgia and traveled around the country working for Chick-fil-A corporate. Our next date was in Waco, TX, and we had a blast getting to know each other more over Tex-Mex and adventures at the zoo. After a few months of trying to figure out our lives, we stayed in touch and reconnected in North Carolina! I was visiting my sister and her husband at their new home in Fayetteville, NC, meanwhile, William was working in Raleigh, NC. After having talked for a few months prior, we instantly reconnected and decided that we wanted to date each other! William's job moved him around the lower part of the US 5 times during those months, but through FaceTime, texting, and phone calls, we managed to stay connected and make the distance totally worth it! Each month for the next 8 months, we spent as much time together despite the "long-distance," and we were actually able to see each other about every 2 weeks. During that time, we had some pretty awesome dates in all of the different cities he worked in! William moved to Texas in July 2021, and we have had such a fun time getting to date in the same city! In December, 2021, William proposed to me in the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth, TX, and it was honestly the best day of our lives! We are so excited to begin our lives together through marriage, and we are so grateful for all of our friends and family that have supported us along the way. It is amazing to see what God can do, and I know that He has great plans for our lives as the future Mr. and Mrs. Braswell!
