Chapman and Bethany met as students while attending Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. During their respective senior and sophomore years, mutual friends encouraged Chapman to ask Bethany to the school’s spring formal. They had only spoken a handful of times, though Chapman had thought that she was gorgeous from the moment he met her. Actually, he had helped a couple of his buddies (on separate occasions) try to pursue her, little did he know what was coming! The two of them had a lovely time at spring formal, and they began to spend more and more time together, becoming fast friends before the semester’s end. They officially started dating on July 27th, 2018. Their dating relationship saw its fair share of ups and downs, with each of them experiencing hardship and challenges. Yet, all the while the Lord was faithful to grow them towards himself. It is so clear that the Lord brought them together to use them extensively in each other's lives and to point one another to Christ amidst both laughter and suffering. They were engaged to be married on March 21st 2020 They’ll never forget that moment, it was on a secluded cliffside on Lookout Mountain where Chapman got down on one knee and asked for Bethany’s hand in marriage. Her response was “yes yes yes yes” (it was the cutest). The two celebrated with family and friends-positively delighted to be engaged and headed towards marriage! The depths of grace and breadth of love which the Lord has shown them has bolstered their faith and hope. They are so delighted to be in love and overjoyed at the opportunity to serve the Lord together. They ask that you, their friend and loved one, would pray for them! Pray that the Lord would guide them and give them wisdom and understanding for one another. Pray that they would have years of laughter and joy, all the while growing in ever deeper communion with the Lord.
