The first time Greg and Chanty met was a fun and unexpected encounter during a late night out out in Brooklyn. They had a great time, sparks flew, but as the saying goes, the timing wasn't right and a "first date" didn't come to be then. The second time Chanty and Greg met was months later, when she moved from Brooklyn to Manhattan, unknowingly, just three blocks away from Greg. You'd think they would have accidentally met at the grocery store but it was a dating app that gave them the second chance to get it right.

Greg's plan to propose in Miami with Chanty's family nearby quickly changed when her sister Claudia along with her girlfriend Julia moved to Denver, CO. Onto plan B, Greg coordinated for Chanty's mom to join a vacation under the guise of "visiting Claudia and Julia's new place." Greg popped the question at the top of a hike in the Red Rocks and Chanty of course said yes!
