On September 21, 2021 Chantel met Taylor for a quick coffee that turned into hours of seamless conversation and walks around a nearby park. (Taylor’s version of the story!) Isn’t he so concise?😘 Ahem. Chantel’s version: We first met for coffee, where I (Chantel) walked in 5 minutes late. Traffic y’all😉. After sitting down and listening to Taylor speak about his life/plan/desires, I felt like I’d like to see where time would take us. Following a month of going on dates, we both thought dating would be a great next step to our friendship. During that time, almost too quickly for me, I knew that God had plans for Taylor & I. Questions came and went and through all our discovering of what relationship means to submit our lives to God and to each other… I found one common thread. Love. There is nothing too big or hard for love. Love breaks off the old and ugly, and leaves life and beauty in its place. I have glimpsed the beginning of love. God’s love! His wonderful, crazy, redeeming act of it. So I cannot share a story of Taylor & I without crediting the one who gave it to us all, God. Cheesy? Maybe, but much more true than we can comprehend. I am excited to spend my life with this man, diving deeper in my understanding of what love really means.
