A weekend getaway to Paarl - or so I thought. We were there to celebrate a late birthday for my best friend an maid of honor , Grete . Months before , we had planned the trip to make her birthday feel extra special, like every year .. but little did I know , Grete and Michael ad been planning something even more unforgettable behind the scenes - OUR ENGAGEMENT ! On the day of the proposal, we visited the breath taking Babylonstoren Wine estate in Klapmuts . The scenery was straight out of a dream - a mix of soft rain , golden sunshine, and lush greenery everywhere we looked. We wandered the estate , soaking in the views and stopping for photos in all the right spots ( or so they made it seem !). As we neared a beautiful, quiet part of the gardens - a place Michael and Grete had mysteriously insisted we visit all morning - everything felt perfectly in place . We were taking photos , laughing , and living in the moment when Grete told me, " Just look at that view for a second ..." I turned to admire it - and when I looked back , Michael was on one kne. With my heart racing and eyes wide , he asked me to marry him. Of course , I said YES!
