FAQs

Question

1. Do you realize your wedding isn’t traditional?

Answer

We absolutely do and we love that about it. As a non-traditional couple, we’ve chosen to celebrate in a way that feels authentic to us. It may not follow every convention, but it’s full of meaning, joy, and love.

Question

2. Why is the wedding being held on a Sunday?

Answer

After looking at the calendar and considering the availability of our guests, Sunday turned out to be the best fit. It allows for a more relaxed pace and gives everyone time to settle in and enjoy the experience and the next day is a bank holiday.

Question

3. Where is the ceremony taking place?

Answer

The location has changes to the National Botanical Gardens in a hide away location. Directions to follow.

Question

4. What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive no later than 8:30 AM so you don’t miss a moment of the magic. The ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

Question

5. Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! Once you come through the gate opposite Combermere School and follow the road, you’ll see a car park on the left. The pathway to the ceremony will be on the right.

Dress code: Elegantly casual garden wear in shades of red. We recommend cocktail and flowing dresses for the ladies, and button-down shirts with slacks for the gentlemen. However, you are free to select what you are most comfortable in.

Question

8. Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, feel free to capture the moment! Just a gentle reminder: phones may show up in the official wedding photos, so we’d love if you keep them low or step aside when the photographer is at work.

Question

9. Why isn’t there a traditional reception?

Answer

At this stage in our lives, hosting a full-scale reception wasn’t financially feasible, we recently welcomed a beautiful baby and bought a home! Instead, we’ll be offering light bites after the ceremony, and we’d love for you to join us later that evening for an unforgettable sunset catamaran cruise. The cost is $100 BDS per person, and it promises to be a magical close to the day
