We met on a dating app a few years back, and although we hit it off, it wasn't our time yet. We connected a few more times, and it finally happened! We began chatting right before the pandemic hit. Once the cross-state travel bans lifted, we started "dating" again. It didn't take long to realize that this was finally it, and we were doing this! It only took a pandemic and many HGTV and Food Network dates to realize that neither of us was going anywhere, not to mention that Charlotte would always make herself at home when we would visit!

It was Thanksgiving and a busy day. We had celebrations to attend and some cooking to do. It was a fun but tiring day. After all the Thanksgiving Day activities ended, we came home late. Our usual routine would consist of taking Charlotte out, but she was too tired that night. Joe decided it would be a great time to bother her! I asked him why he would bother her this late, and the next thing I know, they were coming down the steps saying, "look who I found"! Not paying much attention, he casually puts Charlotte on the ground revealing a sign around her neck that reads, "Mommy, will you marry daddy?" It took me a second to process, and Joe got down on one knee - the only words I could say were, "Are you serious?" He answered, "yes?" and the rest is history!
