When should I RSVP by? / ¿Cuándo debo confirmar mi asistencia?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by October 31st. Please search for your invitation using your full name as it appears on the invitation. If you notice any typos or need name corrections, please let us know so we can update your information accordingly. Additionally, please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. We apologize for any mistakes - doing a bilingual/cultural wedding has its hiccups! ES 🇩🇴 Les pedimos que confirmen su asistencia antes del 31 de octubre. Busquen su invitación por el nombre completo como aparece en su invitación. Si hay errores tipográficos o correcciones de nombre necesarias, por favor, avísennos para que podamos actualizar su información. To ensure a relaxing and enjoyable celebration for all, we kindly request that our wedding be an adult-only event. If your child is not specifically named on the invitation, we ask that you make arrangements for their care. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you! To create an intimate celebration with our closest loved ones, we kindly request that you do not bring additional guests unless specifically stated in your invitation. Your invitation lists the number of guests included. Please confirm with us if you are unsure. What is the dress code? / ¿Cual es el código de vestimenta?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal attire. However, the weather in the Dominican Republic can be warm during the day and cool at night, so please consider your comfort and plan accordingly. The venue will be outdoors. Please avoid wearing sage green (light green). ES 🇩🇴 Nuestro código de vestimenta es formal. Sin embargo, el clima en la República Dominicana puede ser caluroso durante el día y fresco por la noche, así que por favor consideren su comodidad y planifiquen según corresponda. What currency should I bring?

Answer

The Dominican peso (DOP) is the local currency, but US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas and hotels. You can exchange money at Cibao International Airport (STI) currency exchange kiosks in the arrivals area or withdraw pesos from ATMs located throughout the airport. The Hotel Santiago also offers on-site ATM and currency exchange services. We suggest bringing small US dollar bills for tips and some pesos for local vendors. Check with your bank to make sure your card works internationally, and also bring some cash in case local businesses don't accept cards.

As a bicultural couple, our wedding will be conducted in both languages, allowing all our loved ones to participate fully. Don't worry if you don't speak Spanish perfectly! That said, now is a good time to restart that Duolingo streak. ES 🇩🇴 Como somos una pareja bicultural, nuestra boda será en ambos idiomas para que todos nuestros seres queridos puedan participar completamente. ¡No se preocupen si no hablan inglés perfectamente! Can we take photos during the ceremony? / ¿Podemos tomar fotos durante la ceremonia?

We kindly request that you enjoy our ceremony unplugged, with no phones or cameras allowed during the ceremony itself. Our photographer will capture everything! Feel free to take photos during cocktail hour and reception. There will be an open bar until supplies run out! The party doesn't stop until the bride does, so if you're interested, there will be an after-party! Fair warning: we're not responsible for any regrets you may experience the next day. ES 🇩🇴 ¡Por supuesto que hay barra libre hasta que se acabe la última botella!
