Our Story

It all began in 2008, when we both started Glenmuir High School and were placed in the same first form class. Funny enough, I (the bride) didn’t even notice Courtney back then. But fate had a different plan. In second form, our teacher just happened to seat Courtney right behind me, and that small change started something we could never have predicted. A friendship quietly began—one we didn’t know would one day become the foundation of our love story. Over the next couple of years, our bond grew deeper, and eventually, friendship blossomed into a relationship. It didn’t last long at the time, and life pulled us in different directions—Courtney moved overseas, and I stayed in Jamaica to pursue university. Though we went our separate ways, the connection we had was never fully lost. In October 2015, life brought us back together. We reconnected and rekindled the friendship that had always felt easy and familiar. By January 2016, that friendship turned once again into love. Even though we were still in separate countries, we made it work—fueled by trust, history, and plenty of video calls. In 2018, everything began to align. I completed university, and Courtney made the move back to Jamaica. While our relationship hasn’t been perfect—we’ve had our share of ups, downs, and even breaks—our foundation of friendship kept bringing us back to each other. In 2021, our greatest blessing arrived: our daughter, Calani. She added a new layer of love and meaning to our journey. And then, in January 2023, Courtney proposed—marking a beautiful new chapter in the story that started so many years ago in a high school classroom. Now, we're here, ready to say “I do,” surrounded by the people who have supported us along the way.
